Next to Costa del Sol, the 200 kilometer Costa Brava is the best-known part of Spain's coastline - from the Catalan Mediterranean coast to the north of Barcelona. Although it has been affected by development and tourism, it still boasts of lovely golden beaches, rocky gorges, unspoiled nooks, sheltered coves, and some of the most attractive scenery in the Mediterranean.
