General Description
`Burnside` is situated in Pennan, the idyllic `Local Hero` village, in Aberdeenshire, where stunning beauty and a slower pace of life combine.The village is ideally situated for exploring the `North East Corner` of Scotland. The area boasts a wealth of activities, including golf, castle trails and numerous heritage attractions. Royal Deeside, Loch Ness and the Cairngorm Mountains are all within easy reach.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
The double bedroom is a spacious room which features an original victorian fireplace and just off the double bedroom there is a good sized dressing room with wardrobe, drawers etc - ideal for storing clothes, luggage etc during your stay. All bed linen and towels are provided.
The twin room is a bright, cheery room. Again, there is ample wardrobe and drawer space for clothes and the added advantage of an adjoining shower room.
Burnside has a small bathroom downstairs (left), with WC, washbasin and bath. Upstairs, adjoining the twin bedroom there is a good sized shower room (right) with washbasin. A shaving point is available.

Living Areas
The lounge is a great place to rest after a day`s exploring. It is comfortably furnished and includes TV with VCR. Just off the lounge there is an additional` `den` area with books, board games etc. In the summer evenings, you can sit in the lounge and watch the sun set over Troup Head - a true delight!

Kitchen / Dining
Burnside has a fine spacious `kitchen / diner`, equipped with everything you are likely to need. The kitchen leads into a good sized utility room with washer dryer, freezer, microwave, ironing facilities etc. A washing line is also available outside he cottage.

Location
Burnside is a roomy and substantial house situated near the harbour. Built in 1844, but recently refurbished to a high standard, the house retains many original features and promises a unique blend of elegance, comfort and charm. The `burn` from which the house takes its name flows gently past the windows, soothing the spirit and helping you unwind from the cares of life.

Changeover Details
The cottage is heated throughout by `Total Heating with Total Control` electric radiators. It sleeps 4 (one twin bedroom, one double bedroom) The rental includes all heating and electricity costs. Bed linen and towels are all provided. The cottage can be rented on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday - entry 3pm)
We regret that pets are not allowed in the cottage, which is also `no smoking`. Incoming telephone. Good supermarkets are available at Fraserburgh or Banff ( both around 10 miles away) but there are smaller shops in New Aberdour (3 miles) or New Pitsligo (8 miles) The `Pennan Inn` serves good food (booking might be advisable in high season) Rental rates vary from £250 - £350 depending on the time of year - book at www.burnsidepennan.com
