Property Details

General Description
La Rose Trémière is a stunning old Charentaise Long house with 4 large bedrooms each individually and tastefully furnished. The house is well equipped and has a large private garden, peace and solitude are guaranteed here but life, beaches, towns etc are all within 5-30 minutes. There are beautiful walks around the house with nature abounding and lots to see in the area. A French guest stayed this week and rebooked for hi-summer! it`sthat good.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
The four bedrooms really are superbly furnished in French style with hand made very comfortable wooden framed beds and in the rooms and on the landing more hanging and storage space than Mrs Bouquet/Bucket needs on holiday. There are three spacious doubles and a twin, all are large by UK or French cottage/house standards with lots of room to walk round the beds or to sit and relax before facing the exertions of another day in paradise.

Living Areas
The lounge is large and extremely airy with two double patio doors (french windows) which lead directly onto the large securely enclosed private garden.
The lounge is tastefully decorated and has a TV and video player, a beautiful old working brick fire place and a most relaxing leather suite, to the rear is a large raised dining area.

Kitchen / Dining
You enter the house by double patio doors into the good sized kitchen which is equipped for a family holiday with full size oven and hob and all you`d expect from a typical French "cuisine".
In one corner of the large comfy lounge is a raised dining area which seats up to eight at the rustic solid dark wood table. The lounge has two sets of patio doors leading to the garden creating another light and airy room.

Swimming Pool
We have a luxury HOT-TUB for five people with night lights, a KENWOOD HI-FI and a constant temperature of 34° or you can reset to your preference.

Outside
Outside the house, within the six foot tall gates of the secure private garden, there`s parking for three cars, a good sized lawned area with mature trees and shrubs and in the top corner sits a top of the range HOT-TUB/Jacuzzi with seats for five people in total at a permanent winter and summer temperature of 24 to 34°C set to your preference. There are underwater lights to use it by night and the speakers for it`s Kenwood hi-fi are inside the tub, don`t forget your CD`s.

Location
La Rose Trémière is a genuine quality French house/gite situated in the tiny exclusive hamlet of Chez Pequin about 2/3 miles from the medieval town of Pons with it`s ramparts and tall dungeon, secret waterways, shops and supermarkets etc. The beaches are within half an hours drive and there`s lots of them. Just a short walk around the corner (20 minutes walk) is a unique very old chateau which has been converted to a childrens adventure chateau with a treasure hunt, nature walk and other things to keep them entertained and guarantee a good nights sleep.
As well as the Charente Maritimes miles of superb beaches just half an hour from the house, there are lots of other well known historic and beautiful places to see.
Within 10 to 60 minutes drive of La Rose Trémière you can visit La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Royan, Talmont sur Gironde, Mortagne, Pons, Saintes, COGNAC is just half an hour away, the coastal islands of Ré, Oleron, Aix and Dames are within the hour, there are several beautiful chateaux in the area with gardens to match. Whatever you want, it`s here!!

Changeover Details
In Hi-season, changeover day is always Saturday, outside of hi season, we are flexible to your preferred dates and durations, so tell us hat you want!
On arrival a returnable security deposit of 200 euros or £150 is required and is to cover against any breakages or excessive cleaning. 97% plus of our guests have their security deposit returned in full.
Arrival is normally at 4pm and departure at 10am but this can be flexible to suit you.
Bookings are confirmed by a £100 per week deposit with the full balance payable four weeks before your holiday starts.

Extra Details
All weekly linen, weekly towels, gas, electric, water are included in the price. Wood for the fire in the lounge is included out of high season if required.
