Property Details

General Description
La Grande Maison is a detached country house offering bed and breakfast accommodation in a quiet country hamlet, with picturesque views of the central Brittany countryside. The house is set in 1 hectare, which as well as having a garden area for guests to use, we produce our own vegetables and also cultivate soft fruit both for PYO and for sale locally.
We can provide evening meals, cooked using our own produce as much as possible.
We are open all year and petsare welcome by prior arrangement.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
4 bedrooms.
1) double room, ensuite ( can have a single bed settee added)
2) double room, with shared bathroom facilities
3) double room, with shared bathroom facilities (can also have a single bed settee added)
4) double room, ensuite but can be used as a family room or twin with the addition of another double bed.
We also have a travel cot available, which can be used in any of the rooms.

Living Areas
A living room is available for guest use with tea/coffee facilities, games, books, DVD and comfortable sitting area.
There is also a selection of tourist information brochures available.

Kitchen / Dining
The guest dining area is in the main living room, and looks out over the garden. When the weather allows you are welcome to have breakfast and evening meals outside.

Outside
Garden, with garden furniture available for guests to use.
Private car parking and a covered area for bikes.

Location
We are in the hamlet of La Croix Neuve, near to Le Moustoir and 4km to the east of Carhaix Plouguer, which in the centre of Brittany.We are within easy reach of the channel ports, Roscoff (1 hr) and St Malo (2hrs) as well as being 1 hour from Brest airport and 2hrs from Dinard.
The Nantes-Brest canal is about 5 mins drive away, which is ideal for walking and cycling. The market towns of Rostrenen, Carhaix and Callac are all nearby.
Being in the centre of Brittany we are about 1 hour from the north, south and west coasts and also you also have the benefit of the Central Brittany countryside to explore.

Changeover Details
We can take reservations for 1 night stays, short breaks and longer holidays.

Extra Details
Our rates are per room, for 2 people and include breakfast.
en-suite rooms 55 euros per night
shared bathroom facilities 45 euros a night
Reduced rates available for stays of 3 nights or longer, please ask for details.
Evening meals 22 euros per person (3 courses, wine and coffee).
Evening meals are optional, and can be booked on a day to day basis. Special diets can be catered for, i.e. vegetarian, diabetic, but please let us know in advance.
