Property Details

General Description
Chasselas was once a pair of winegrowers houses that have been renovated and converted into one house (with two front doors!) The house faces south and receives an abundance of sunshine. The surface area is about 120M2.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
Upstairs there are three good sized bedrooms each having a pair of twin beds, hanging space and a chest of drawers. The bathroom has a shower unit, handbasin and wc. All of these rooms face south and so are bright and sunny.

Living Areas
There is a large, high ceilinged , lounge that features original exposed beams and a wood burning stove. The ground floor is tiled throughout in white tiling giving a sensation of coolness on even the hottest days. The original staircase leads up from the lounge to the upper floor

Kitchen / Dining
This is another airy and bright room with exposed stone walls and white tiling. One half houses the fitted kitchen and the other a dining corner. Off this room is a utility room and separate wc.

Outside
The house looks onto a stone walled courtyard garden (approx. 120M2) that has a small grassed area, shrubs and fruit trees. Facing the house is a roomy barn.

Location
The house is situated amongst the Cognac vineyards in a small hamlet of 6 or so houses. The nearest neighbour is a cognac producer. The location is peaceful and relaxing with the possibilty of undisturbed walking through the miles of vines.

Changeover Details
Changeover on Saturdays in high and mid season and by arrangement outside these periods

Extra Details
The property is situauted on the border of the Charente Maritime and Charente departments. The nearest village, Breville, where there`s a bakery and Bar/restaurant, is 3kms and the nearest town, Matha, is 10kms. The lovely riverside town of Cognac is 15 mins away and the coast, Royan is just over an hour`s drive. There is a golf course just outside Cognac and riding stables are a 10 min. drive.
