Property Details

General Description
This delightful 16th century Breton cottage is full of character and charm. The cottage has its own private garden and is set in four acres of landscaped gardens including a beautiful pine forest. Situated within five minutes drive of the beautiful River Blavet where you can enjoy coarse fishing, canoeing and walking or cycling along the scenic towpaths. The heated swimming pool is set in the main gardens. The pool enjoys full sun from early morning to late evening. There is also a separate children`s play area where you will find a climbing frame with swings and a slide. The cottage has a charming beamed lounge with large granite fireplace, wood burning stove and well equipped kitchen.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
The cottage has four bedrooms, one large family room with two single beds and one set of bunk beds, three double rooms (one with en-suite shower room).

On the ground floor there is a further separate shower room, a bathroom with bath, basin and WC, and a further separate WC.

Living Areas
The large beamed lounge has a beautiful granite fireplace with wood burning stove. The comfortable lounge seating accommodates ten people, and there is large dining table and chairs (which can seat up to 12 people).

The cottage is equipped with satellite TV and can receive all the BBC channels and free to air channels.

Kitchen / Dining
There is a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer. There is a separate laundry room on site with washing machine and ironing facilities.

Swimming Pool
There are two six metre adjoining heated fenced pools set in the landscaped gardens in front of the pine forest. There is one pool for each cottage (as there is another cottage on site, Fuchsia Cottage, which sleeps six).

Outside
The cottage is set in four acres of landscaped gardens, totally private and safe, ideal for children. The cottage is situated in a small hamlet at the end of a road with no through traffic. For peace and tranquility it is ideal for all the family`s needs. There is a further cottage on site which sleeps six people, should further accommodation be required.

Location
Le Crann is situated within five minutes drive of the beautiful River Blavet where you can enjoy coarse fishing, canoeing, walking or cycling along the scenic towpaths. The beautiful Inland Sea of the Golf of Morbihan with its many lovely sandy beaches is within 30/40 minutes drive, and there are any other places of interest to visit including the medieval towns of Vannes and Auray. Le Crann is ideally situated for all the family’s needs. For day to day shopping there is a local supermarket at Bubry (ten minutes drive), and the nearby towns of Baud and Pontivy also offer excellent supermarkets, and a whole range of shops and several good restaurants

Changeover Details
Changeover day is a Saturday, but is negotiable out of season.
Our terms and conditions are 25% non refundable deposit with booking and the balance, plus security deposit, which is refundable 7 days following departure, is due six weeks prior to arrival.
Pets are welcome.

Extra Details
Brittany has some of the best fishing rivers in France, as well as something like a third of France’s coastline, giving a great variety for keen anglers. Fishing permits can be purchased for a day, two week, or annual period, and will cover fishing in the whole department of Morbihan, or for an additional fee you can purchase a permit to cover all of Brittany.

For keen golfers there are eight uncrowded courses, including Val Queven, one of the best downland courses in Western France.
