It has been sympathetically renovated and blends the charm of old French Country living with modern day convenience. Set in a hectare of private wooded gardens with a small lake, Le Cedre Gite offers peace and tranquillity without isolation. The inner courtyard includes a fenced off area with an interesting pool including a separate children`s pool and a fully equipped sunbathing terrace. Surrounding the house are various terraces and patios, perfect for a moment of solitude, sunbathing or eating "Al Fresco ", containing ample garden furniture and a BBQ to help you enjoy the outdoor life that this exceptional climate supports

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
Bedroom 1, found upstairs leads off the gallery, this room has exposed beams with views overlooking the front garden. There are two double beds, en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower unit, washbasin and toilet.

Bedroom 2, is on the ground floor, in the North Wing, with double bed plus a single bed, exposed beams and a antique tiled floor.

Bedroom 3, in the South Wing is situated on the mezzanine floor overlooking the games room and has 3 single beds, exposed beams.

Bedroom 4 is on the ground floor. This room has French windows opening onto a terrace with views to the pools and gardens. The room has a double bed plus an extra single bed. In keeping with the renovation much of the furniture is antique and typically French with the added comfort of modern living.

Bedroom 5, on the ground floor. This room has french doors opening on the rear gardens with views of the Ceder tree.It is a large open airy room having 4 single beds.
There are two bathrooms on the ground floor with toilet, washbasins and shower cubicles, tiled floors and walls, tastefully decorated.

Living Areas
The property offers a large living area with sofas,chairs,Satellite TV and DVD. Large dining table and chairs.
Seperate games room with a 3/4 size snooker table. Table tennis is outside.

Kitchen / Dining
The kitchen has all modern facilities. An island with a preparation sink and dishwasher. Built-in oven, Hob, Large refrigerator, Microwave and a second sink, with a window overlooking the patio and pools. The washing machine and dryer can be found in the utility room.

Swimming Pool
The pools are exceptional, the main pool is 6x10m and attached is a 3m children`s pool making a haricot shape.The main pool is 2 metres deep and the childrens pool is 55cm deep. There is terracing all around the pool

Outside
The Patio and terraces are planted with colourful shrubs and plants,and there is plenty of garden furniture for eating `al fresco` in the warm balmy evenings!! BBQ provided.

The games room situated in the house has a 3/4 size Snooker table. There is table tennis in the garden.

The Gardens. To the front of the house is a stone gavelled area with colourful and interesting shrubs and a variety of annual bedding,a striking, welcoming display. Another interesting feature is the old village pump. The double gates lead onto a driveway a double garage and plenty of car parking facilities. As you venture further along the drive it opens out onto a woodland garden planted with shrubs and trees. At the furthest end of the garden you will find a small lake. The Cedar Tree on the knoll overlooking the lake is several hundred years old.
The rear gardens and swimming pools are enclosed within a walled courtyard providing shelter and privacy,and the pool is fenced off for security.

You are invited to visit our other complex in St Martin des Fontaines and you will have full use of the facilities on offer there. These include boules, outdoor backgammon and chess, indoor heated pool, snooker and pool

After a hard day enjoying yourselves, relax with some music on the Hi-fi system or catch upon the English television news, read from the collection of books or watch a DVD to pass those last minutes of a fully enjoyable day

Location
Le Cedre is located in the South Vendee, in an area known as the Poitou Charente, which, along with the Charente Maritime, enjoys a microclimate producing 2400-2600 hours of sunshine each year, making it one of the sunniest regions of France.
The A83 Autoroute passes only 5 kms from the house and offers great connections to the ferry ports and the international airports at Nantes and Poitier. Le Cedre Gite is also only 47 kms from La Rochelle airport.
The property is situated in the small and delightfully rural hamlet of Les Mouillieres, within easy reach of the village of L`Hermenault, where you will find a supermarket, post office, bank, baker, tobac and a doctor who speaks good English. A mere 12kms away is the old renaissance town of Fontenay-le-Comte, which apart from its many historical and architectural treasures, has a large variety of shops ranging from mobile phone shops to charcuteries, 2 hypermarkets, many bars and restaurants and a host of cultural and sporting activities.

Changeover Details
Friday changeover day - this is flexible out of main season.
Deposit required £100 per week, balance is due 8 weeks before rental commences.

Extra Details
Hire of bed linen £7.00 per person per week.
£100 security deposit required.
