General Description
Le Moulin de Sansonneche is a renovated woollen mill set in a woodland valley on the banks of the river Gioune and is accessed by crossing a small stone bridge. An enchanting fairytale setting pefect for an idyllic holiday in the heart of the beautiful Creuse department of the Limousin region of France.
The two 3 bedroom gites offer immaculate ‘home from home’ accommodation prettily and lovingly furnished and decorated throughout.
The delightful gardens and wooded grounds, swimming pool and river ensure tranquillity and relaxation. A small piece of paradise in which to restore and revive a tired mind and body.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms
Three lovely bedrooms, 2 double and one twin, with comfy metal or wooden beds, homely ‘Cath Kidston’ style flowered bedding and long flowing white lace panels at the windows. To complete the romantic idyll two of the bedrooms in each gite overlook the river. Cots are also available if required.
An immaculate bathroom with a white ceramic tiled floor comprises of a shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail. (one gite has a toilet separate from the shower and wash basin)

Living Areas
The ground floor of approximately 50m2 in size is open plan. The cosy lounge area is charmingly furnished with comfortable sofas surrounding an open fire. Each gite is furnished with a stereo system and television and DVD player. Some UK freeview channels are available and if you have one, bring your own satellite viewing card.

Kitchen / Dining
The kitchen is separated from the lounge and dining areas by a small waist-high stone wall and is fully equipped with a freestanding gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. 12 full place settings (crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided)
A large country-style dining table seats six adults and a painted dresser completes the country cottage atmosphere.

Outside
12 acres of private woodland, garden and meadow. All of the land around the moulin is available for use, for walking and exploring, and cycling or for the less energetic relaxing on a sun lounger or hammock with a book. Sit with a bottle of wine and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or perhaps have a picnic by the river. A number of picnic tables are dotted around the garden and by the banks of the river, sun loungers and chairs are all there for everyone to enjoy.
The swimming pool is a figure 8 shape and approximately 9 x 5 metre in size. It is above ground and of wooden construction in keeping with its surroundings. The pool can be used daily during the summer and also has a decked terrace area for sunbathing
For al fresco cuisine, there are two stone built barbecues – barbecue utensils are provided in each gite

Location
Situated on the banks of the river Gioune, in the commune of GIOUX in the Creuse department. Aubusson is the nearest large town, approximately 20 km to the north. The moulin has its own private woodlands and meadows of 12 acres and all other local land is available to explore freely. The moulin also has its own water turbine to produce electricity when there is sufficient water in the river, generally December - May.
