17th Century Breton Cottages
Saint Domineuc
situated between Dinan – Rennes – St Malo
Fully restored traditional Breton cottage, retaining many original features including an original granite armoire discovered as we were removing layers of mud from the walls. As you enter the property you will walk into the lounge/diner full of Breton charm with a traditional wood burner set into a large Breton fireplace.

The two bedrooms,(1 double + 1 twin) are on the first and second floors. Both have en-suite shower rooms and are full of character.

The kitchen area contains a full size cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster & coffee maker. A washing machine is situated on the 1st floor.

Relax outside on your private patio area, complete with BBQ or use our picnic area next to a stream. Partake in traditional French games at our Boules area (Boules & Breton palate available).
Resident British owners, offering Aromatherapy or Remedial massage by appointment.

Location
Bretagne Vieux Cottages are perfectly placed just outside St Domineuc village – 6 mins walk through a quite lane brings you to the centre where you have a Boucherie, Boulongerie, Epicerie, Brasserie, Tabac & bar, 2 Restaurants, Post office, Pharmacie & Medical centre. (Shops closed on Mondays)
The Cottages are set in 5 acres of pasture and are perfect for walkers. Bridle paths along the canal are also suitable for family cycle days, or why not hire a kayak/canoe from St Domineuc’s newly built kayak centre.
10 mins by car you can explore Combourg and it’s beautiful chateau open to public, This pretty village has a selection of traditional restaurants and bars, also a pizza house for the young and 2 large Supermarkets for all your needs.
Chateau le Bourbonnais offers a great family day out with displays of falconry and a beautiful chateau is open for you to visit. Within the same close proximity there is Cobac fun park with plenty of rides and fun for the kids.
St Domineuc is in easy access to N137 which takes you into the centre of Rennes, Dinan St Malo or Mount St Michael. Sandy beaches can be found at Dinard with their traditional stalls selling shell fish or ice cream and a large choice of bars, restaurants and some very interesting little shops. Along the coast is St Malo which offers wonderful beaches and coves to explore then finish the day a Cancale port, famous for it’s seafood restaurants.

Rental weeks are from 4pm Saturday to 10am Saturday. Please email us for additional information.
Short breaks by arrangement with the owner from 3 days.
A warm welcome all year round, with heating and log fire in cooler months. 10% discount in Nov, Jan and Feb for bookings of two weeks or more.
