General Description
MALUNG (Dalarna) – Quiet location in the forest

Gorgeously located cottage in wilderness location, directly on the lake of Nissangen,

Enter the lake for swimming directly from the plot; the nearby sand beach is perfect for small children.

Spacious sun deck facing south and west, offering a 180 degree view of the lake with opportunities to supervise any swimming children.

The cottage is charmingly primitive - there is no electricity. Lighting comes from candles and oil lamps. Drinking water is collected from a well on the lot.

The living-room has a fireplace; the dining table is placed by a large set of windows facing the lake. In the back of the room is a double bed (2 beds). The bedroom has two bunk beds of the old Dalecarlian type, in total four (4) beds.

The boathouse contains a guest-room equipped with a bunk bed with two (2) beds, woodshed and the rowboat.

The living room offers a breath-taking view over the lake.

Kitchen / Dining
The kitchen, lacking running water, is equipped with wood stove, LPG stove & oven and LPG fridge.

Swimming Pool
Natural lake, shallow with a sandy bottom along the shoreline – excellent for children to play and swim.

Outside
Wolfs and bears are present – but rarely spotted in the area.
Mooses are common – be careful on the roads especially at dawn and dusk.

Gorgeously located cottage in wilderness location, directly on the lake of Nissangen, 15 km from the centre of Malung, 320 km NW of Stockholm.

Changeover Details
Rental period: Two weeks minimum is preferred
Change day: Saturday

Extra Details
For a successful vacation, you should enjoy outdoor life close to the nature in a unique location with spectacular views. The standard does not appeal to those who require comfortable city living. At Lake Nissången, life style is”back to basics”.

The cottage (left) is gorgeously located with a large beachfront directly on the lake Nissången. The boathouse (right) also belongs to the property. The lake is shallow with a sandy bottom along the shoreline – excellent for children to play and swim. The cottage has a spacious sun deck (south/west), and offers a magnificent view over the lake. Access to the deck is direct from the kitchen. The bedroom has two bunk beds of old Dalecarlian style, in total four (4) beds. The living room accommodates one double bed (140 cm; 2 beds) of old Dalecarlian style in the back of the room. When twilight sets in, the old oil lamp creates a nice and cosy atmosphere.
The kitchen has a dishwashing sink, wood stove, LPG stove, and a LPG fridge (103 liter). The standard is plain. A dip in the lake is the standard substitute for the lack of shower.
